RICS Regulated at Hackney & Leigh

Regulated by RICS

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property and construction. Behaving ethically is at the heart of what it means to be a ‘professional’ and the RICS has created a clear set of professional and ethical standards to guide their members and to ensure that those they deal with can have confidence in them. The RICS promotes and enforces the highest professional standards for the protection of consumers.

All members must:

  • Act with integrity
  • Always provide a high standard of service
  • Act in a way which promotes trust in the profession
  • Treat others with respect
  • Take responsibility

Any firm operating as an Estate Agent must by law belong to one of the Authorised Estate Agent Redress schemes and offer Consumers the opportunity to raise complaints and seek redress should members fall short of their obligations.  As a RICS member firm, Hackney & Leigh offer a Complaints Handling Procedure under the auspices of The Property Redress Scheme (PRS).

We do however request that should you have any concerns regarding any aspect of the service which you have received from Hackney & Leigh your first port of call should always be to contact the relevant office manager to discuss the matter and hopefully reach a satisfactory conclusion.
