Location From the centre of Ambleside head towards Windermere on the one way system along Lake Road (A591.) Turn left onto Old Lake Road, almost opposite the Marmot shop continue along this road before taking a left turn onto Blue Hill Road. Follow this road almost all the way up and the property can be found a short distance along on the right hand side with roadside car parking opposite.

Description This sweet and welcoming Lakeland stone cottage is perfectly placed whether you are seeking a permanent home, a relaxing weekend retreat or a popular holiday let. You can stroll from the door into central Ambleside where an excellent array of highly regarded restaurants, cafes, local independent and nationally renown retailers await alongside wonderful traditional Inns, and even a variety of cinema screens for your entertainment. You may prefer to hike the high fells which flank the village, or head down to the lake shore – all of which can be achieved without troubling to find the car keys – simply idyllic.

The bright accommodation would perhaps now stand a little updating in places, but with a brand new central heating boiler recently installed and a slate roof which was re-covered only around 20 years ago, this welcoming cottage is ready for whatever little improvements you might wish to consider introducing to meet your own requirements.

The accommodation is arranged over two stories and includes a porch, a breakfast kitchen and sitting room on the ground floor with two bedrooms and a shower room above. The pretty garden is a real sun trap and offers even better views than those enjoyed from the cottage itself, looking up towards Wansfell.

A truly lovely, welcoming home – come and see for yourself.
