Repairs and Maintenance
Hackney & Leigh have a dedicated maintenance team along with Field staff to cater for all landlords – so you can be as involved or hands on as you want to be.
If you have any guarantees, service contracts etc. please let us have the details of these in order to speed up maintenance work. We reserve the right in all cases (including and as a last resort for clients using our ‘Tenant Find’ and ‘Rent Collect’ services where the tenant is unable to contact you) to authorise emergency repairs without reference to you when the time is of the essence, or in order to preserve life and the property.
Hackney & Leigh does not charge any additional fees or commission on external maintenance invoices.
We are able to use our many contacts in the industry to organise property repairs/refurbishment/renovations and will be happy to obtain estimates and contractors and to oversee works on your behalf. Small scale projects beyond our agreed budgets are charged a handling fee of 10% +VAT of the costs. If we are asked to arrange and supervise major works or contracts in excess of £2,000 a fee for this will be agreed with you.
My Property File
Clients of our ‘Manage & Protect’,’Managed’ and ‘Rent Collect’ services have access to their own online ‘Property file’ which enables them to view statements,on-going maintenance, viewings etc. It allows you the convenience of looking up the information you need 24/7 and storing all documents in one location.
