Top Tip – Painting

While we’re all in lockdown and some of you are doing home improvements, we thought we’d share some of our top tips.

Whether you are planning on selling, staying put, sick of staring at the kids grubby hand prints, or just bored and need something to do, one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways of improving your home is applying a fresh coat of paint to brighten and modernise rooms.

You can even add a touch of personality by painting feature walls in bold colours or adding wallpaper.

Of course if you are planning on selling your home in the near future, we would definitely recommend using fairly neutral colours, so you don’t put off any potential buyers with your weird and wonderful colour schemes!

Studies have shown the use of calm blues, greens, greys are most appealing, when it comes to attracting buyers.

As a bonus tip for those of you getting help from smaller members of the family, in addition to the obvious sheeting up of flooring and furniture, we would recommend giving them the water based / emulsion painting to do as it comes off a little easier!

Happy painting!
