Have a read of our top tips to ensure your home stays warm, cosy and mould-free this winter.Maintain your appliancesKeep your boiler servicing up to date, check carbon monoxide alarms are working and ensure plumbing and pipes are in satisfactory condition.Control moisture levelsDampness and condensation are the primary culprits behind mould growth. Ensure adequate ventilation, avoid drying clothes indoors, cover saucepans and close doors when bathrooms and kitchens are in use. Consider using a dehumidifier.Ensure your property is properly insulatedIncrease or intall loft insulation, check external pipes are insulated and bring cold spots such as concrete beams up to modern standards.
